On iNaturalist Amata chromatica most often has white tips to the antennae and a different wing pattern of yellow panes it seems to me.

I'd vote for Amata aperta going by body markings on primary picture here (note above moth is female, website is male)

Yes. looks likely, well spotted. Apparently widespread and often obbserved but not usually near Canberra as seen by the pattern of observations.
