User's notes
As we watched one snake sunning itself, with most of it's body out of the hole, I noticed a flickering tongue - and there was a second head! Fascinated, we observed the head, followed by the body, slither quietly alongside the first snake, shadowing its shape. The first snake then went back into the hole, but soon put its head out again. Each of these photos has two heads of two different snakes, as they taste the world. I'd love to know more about this behaviour, as I thought red-bellied black snakes were quite solitary.
