Your suggested species is no longer valid, its now know as Didymium sponglossum and is generally an off-white colour consisting of calcareous crystals.
This appears to more yellow rather like a failed Fuligo sp or maybe another of the Physarales, difficult to pick just from photos. Great sighting, never the less at this time of year.
