It seems to be an unusual time to be gathering nesting material; threads from outdoor furniture.

Thanks Mike - I also observed them in a nearby tree a few days ago - but did think i saw a glimpse of a head of a chick - so hopefully ok I will pole early next week if no definite sign of chicks

Different behaviour today. They flew in from what is probably a feeding area and perched in a nearby tree. Quite vocal. They then flew to nest tree but not to the hollow. Still quite vocal. When I returned later they were quietly perched in a different tree. Were they trying to encourage chicks to appear or was the nest flooded in the weekend rain?

I stand corrected. Triller it is.
