The dragonfly was photographed in the forested area of the sandhills between Bondi Lake and Bournda Beach.

I have noticed bird species in this area which, according to my old books, aren't this far south. Climate change seems a possible cause of the spread of species. Unfortunately, this probably means range reduction for other species but that's only a guess.
