I agree - it's great to be able to look at your photos and see the diagnostic features such as gill (lamella) attachment - in this case, adnate - squarely attached to the stem (stipe). The brown colouration, slight mottled appearance to the gills (lamellae), due to uneven maturing of spores and light colour at the edge of the gills (lamellae). You've made it easy to make a suggested identification

I agree with you Pam and Loki has done a terrific job at obtaining so many diagnostic features; he is so young and so keen and talented. Loki you are a natural mycologists we must keep you studying in the field as its so much fun and then using the microscope also is even more fun with the camera.....
