Looks like it could be one of the Scleranthus sp, but I can't find one that matches

I'm now thinking that based on the old scapes this might be something in Asteraceae. Siloxerus multiflorus looks similar but I can't find images of it out of flower, it's also an annual so perhaps not around in June. Any further thoughts @KL

Siloxerus multiflorus is recorded on the property - but this looks a little bit different - maybe H. demissum?
