Pacific Baza hunting, catching and eating stick insects in an old, large Ficus benjamina, in rural small village sub-urbia.
By the classic, well known documented, action, of dropping with wings out from the edge of the top of the canopy down the outer foliage edge of the tree until near the ground where catching and eating the multiple stick insects it has knocked off this foliage.
Then perching nearby in a high view of the target tree spot, resting before going again or departing. As seen here in my photographs made during these times of stopped flying.
Daintree Village side street, front verge outside private fenced residential homes.
