User's notes

_Leptopius_ genus wonderful 'weevil beetle' – perhaps _Leptopius setosus_ ? Please assist with identifying this – if possible – to species . Healthy lowland floodplain tropical rain forest, apparently healthy wonderful brown weevil beetle, with conical bumps all over its surface; walking on the foliage of the _Randia audasii_ flowering tree just previously photographed ( https://naturemapr.org/sightings/4724305 ) . On my hand for photography purposes and then returned back to the foliage it walked onto my hand from . Mossman River lowland floodplain distributary creek, well inland hence upstream of Mossman town . 2015 January 30th 4:49–4:52 pm .
