Arion intermedius (Hedgehog Slug)

Hailing from Europe this invader has become a highly invasive species in cooler parts of Australia, invading native vegetation along creek lines and temperate rainforests. There is a cream/yellow form and a grey colour form. It is called a hedgehog slug because tiny segments on its body stick out reminiscent of hedgehog quills when the slug retracts into a ball.
