Taxeotis perlinearia (Spring Taxeotis)

Family: Geometridae; subfamily: Oenochrominae

Moths in this subfamily are often seen flying during the day. Each species is highly variable in colour but there are some aspects of the pattern that are constant. Identification to species really relies upon reference to a good photographic guide (such as Moths of Victoria books).

The adults of this species are most often seen in September and October.
