Pseudoaethalia pulvinate pinkish ageing to brown.

Sporangia:- cylindrical, tapering to a narrow base

Peridium:- simple, membranous, persistant, dehiscing irregularly or by a lid.

Pseudocapillitium:- generally absent or occasionally some weak thin threads attached to the peridium.

Spores:- pale brown to pale orange yellow.

Substrate:- Grows on dead wood.
