Gliocladium sp. 'on wood'

The individual fruitbodies are microscopic but aggregate into more easily visible, structures - albeit still small. Such an aggregation may be flat or consist of a globose head atop a very short stem (about a couple of millimetres tall). The spores are held in a slimy mass on the flat surface or in the globular head.
