The adult moths have forewings that are brown and orange, with white patches outlined in black. The hindwings are transparent with a brown and iridescent blue margin. The blue colour fades in dead specimens. The moths have a wingspan of about 5 cms. The species is found in Asia, including Thailand, New Guinea, and in Australia in Queensland, and New South Wales.
