Earias luteolaria (Chloephorinae)

The adult moths of this species have orange-yellow forewings each with purplish-brown markings, including a central spot. and several broken lines. The forewings have narrow rusty margins with short white hairy fringe. The hindwings are white with a partial narrow rusty margin. The wingspan is about 2 cms.  This species is found across south-east Asia, including:  Borneo, Hong Kong, Japan, and in Australia in  Queensland.
