Lysiana subfalcata (Northern Mistletoe)

Northern Mistletoe is endemic to Australia; occurring in widely scattered populations in all mainland states except Victoria. More widespread in northern Australia.

Can be distinguished from other mistletoes by the opposite arrangement of oval leaves and two-tone flowers borne on short forked stalks. Best distinguished from the very similar Harlequin Mistletoe (L. exocarpi) by translucent fruit.
