Crataegus 'Smithiana' (Red Mexican Hawthorn)

From the Yarralumla Nursery; a spontaneous hybrid of Crataegus Mexicana and Crataegus azarolus in the 1920s. Is not now planted near reserves. No record of it being invasive in the ACT. It is not on the ACT Weed alert risk. Has largish fruit and multiple large seeds so may not be as attractive to bird dispersers as teh highly invasive Crataegus monogynahttps://www.cityservices.act.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0003/1502868/Crataegus-Smithiana.pdf
