Caladenia flava subsp. maculata (Spotted Cowslip Orchid or Kalbarri Cowslip Orchid)

A northern subspecies and differs from other subspecies as its subspecies name maculata from maculatus (spotted) indicates.  Flowers: Aug - Sep.  Lemon yellow flowers. dorsel sepal and petals having brownish-fawn spots, lateral sepals laking markings and labellum with 8-16 marginal teeth on lateral lobes and midlobe. (Kalbarri to Perenjori). Hybrids: With C. reptans.
