Paromphale caeca (Acronictinae) (Black Spotted-Moth)


Generally known from northern Australia - WA, NT & Qld. More recently it has been found in eastern NSW and south and central Vic. Some moths are largely black or dark grey with white or pale obicular and reniform spots. Hence the common name. Others are more colourful.
