Distribution and Ecology

Endemic to Queensland, occurs in Cape York Peninsula and the wet tropics bio-region NE. Qld.. 
Altitudinal range from near sea level to 450 m.
Grows in monsoon forest and drier rain forest.
This species is favoured by disturbance and is a typical regrowth species in these areas.
