Distribution and Ecology

Occurs in Cape York Peninsula, the wet tropics bio-region NE. Qld, central eastern Qld. and southwards as far as south-eastern New South Wales.
Altitudinal range from sea level to 1000 m.
Grows in well developed rain forest on a variety of sites.
Also occurs in Malesia and the SW Pacific islands.
