Sporangia:- gregarious light to golden yellow when fresh, ovoid 1-3mm tall becoming brownish and expanding to 1.5 mm diameter.
Stalk:- dark brown almost black expanded at top into funnel shaped cup.
Peridium:- membranous dehiscing irregularly with minute wrinkles, leaving a distinct calyculus with a petaloid margin.
Capillitium:- threads have spiral bands and short scattered spines and numerous free ends.
Spores:- yellowish, finely reticulate
Plasmodium:- yellow changing to red then brown before maturing to golden yellow.
