Lecithocera imprudens (Lecithocera imprudens)

There are a number of named and unnamed light to dark brown Lecithocera species with long pale antennae, three of which have been recorded in the ACT.  Lecithocera terrigena is uniform dark brown on head, thorax and forewing, except for a row of lighter scales on each side of the head.  An undescribed species is lighter than L. terrigena but with the same lighter row of scales on each side of the head, plus some underlying darker marks on the forewing.  Lecithocera imprudens is lighter again, including on the head and thorax, and also has some underlying darker marks on the forewing.

Lecithocera imprudens is listed in the following regions:

Canberra & Southern Tablelands  |  South Coast  |  Greater Brisbane
