This lacewing has a bright green body. The face is usually unmarked, but sometimes has a small black ventral genal spot and the sides of the clypeus narrowly blackened and a black spot between the antennae. The vertex of the head has 2 pairs of dark brown or black crescents, the posterior ones forming a broken circle. These head markings may be indistinct. The pronotum is usually unmarked dorsally, while the anterior region has an elongate, indistinct dark mark visible from the side only. The abdomen is pale, sometimes with narrow brown bands across the posterior of each tergite. (from New, T.R. 1980 A revision of the Australian Chrysopidae. Aust. J. Zool. Suppl. Series. No. 77).
