Perga dorsalis (Steel-blue sawfly, spitfire)

Family Pergidae. Subfamily Perginae.

Males of Perga dorsalis can not be visually separated from males of Perga affinis. Females of the two species can be separated by study of the shape and density of the hairs along the ovipositor sheath.
