Could this be Cadmus alternans? The Thoracic pattern is very similar to the one pictured in Roger Farrow's book, Insects of South-Eastern Australia, p.97, & to those on iNat & ALA. The linear pattern on the elytra as shown in those sources is hinted at in this sighting. Image 1 was taken on 31.05.2025 while the other images are from 16.06.2025.

@RogerF I think this is Cadmus alternans - but perhaps it is a faded C. rugicollis - what do you think?

I think Kim identified this species but its a while back now! We have many more images of a wide range of species in this difficult genus on CNM and some of my IDs have proved incorrect. Unfortunately I don't think I will ever make a revised edition.
