Phyllotocus rufipennis (Nectar scarab)

One of several species of Phyllotocus commonly found on flowers (including garden species) during summer. This one can be recognised by having the elytra entirely translucent yellow and without any setae except a few near the base (i.e. next to the pronotum) and along the suture (i.e. the centreline where the elytra join). P. rufipennis is slightly larger than the other day-active Phyllotocus.
