Cap: planoconvex with a low umbo; 60 mm diameter; fibrillose with dark almost black fibres on a grey background, darker in the center, pale grey towards the margins.

Stipe:cylindrical; 75 × 8 –10 mm; brittle

Gills:sinuate; crowded, white.

Flesh: thin, white to slightly grey.

Smell: pleasant, mushroomy.
