A small, flattened red-and-black beetle resembling a small longhorn beetle, and often mistaken for one. The long, thin spines on the sides of the prothorax are conspicuous.Occurs in thin, moist spaces under bark on eucalypts, where it feeds on dead plant material and/or fungi.
