Helichrysum pumilum (Dwarf Everlasting)


Small rosette forming daisy. Flowers without rays, instead having papery bracts. Upper surface of leaves hairless, undersides with silver hairs. Common to the south and south west of Tasmania, especially in Buttongrass moorlands. Tasmanian endemic. Asteraceae.

Helichrysum pumilum is an important food source for the critically endangered Orange-bellied parrot (Neophema chrysogaster).
