Lacrymaria asperospora

Cap 40-120mm diam., at first deeply convex, edges turned in, expanding to conico-convex, fibrillose-scaly, delicate veil present when young.

Flesh tin, thicker over stipe.

Stipe 70-150mm long, sdlender to moderately thick, 10-15mm diam., cylindric, a little flexuoue, very fibrillose and shaggy below.

In young specimens the veil may be seen rupturing, tyher is no definite annulus, but the shaggy part of the stipe indicated where the veil was.
