Marasmius crinis-equi (Horse-hair Fungus)

Cap:- Up to 4mm diameter, convex with coarse radiating ridges and a small knob in the umbilicate centre. Pale pinkish brown

Stem:- Up to 14cm long, very slender, smooth, hair like, tough dark brown, emerging from a tangle of tough mycelium.

Gills:-  Adnate, attached to a collar, distant, white.

Substrate:-  On plant debris in wet forest areas, gregarious.

Notes:-  There is neither a partial nor universal veil.
