Grenerally found growing on grass or in pasture. Has been known to grow on potato crops in some countries.
Plasmodium:- pale white watery, then first appearance is quite black on the green grass.
Sporangia:- sessile,subglobose, heaped, crowded, forming simple or branched plasmodiocarps, 0.3 to 0.5 mm. broad, cinereous, more or less warted or veined with white.
Peridium:- single, thin, membranous, with included densely coated clusters of white lime granules.
Capillitium:- abundant with branching hyaline threads.
Spores:- brownish lilac.
