Arcyria sp. (genus) (A slime mould)

Arcyria sp. have a stalked sporangium with a well developed slender stalk to about 1mm

Sporangia:- cylindrical gregarious and crowded; colour varies with species.

Peridium :- thin fragile typically separating by a definite line of dehiscence just above the base leaving a cup like calyculus.

Capillitium:- consists of a network of threads marked with cogs and rings and is firmly attached to the inner surface of the calyculus; often this expands to more than twice the height of the original sporangium after dehiscence.
