Common in recent weeks after fires, growing on burnt wood, usually coarse woody debris as well as stalks of some plants. These fungi are hairless and their coalesceing growth results in an almost continuous mass.
A bright golden robust lumpy species found elevated above the ground on wood and stems of species such as Ghania spp.. As these fungi mature they become creamy coloured and powdery.These are often some of the first species seen after fires.
