Hypena gonospilalis (Hypeninae)

The adult moth has grey or brown patterned forewings each with an interior irregular dark area. The hindwings are plain brown. The wingspan is about 2 cms. The species is found across the south Pacific, and also in Australia in Queensland, and New South Wales.
