Paropsisterna crocata (Crocata button beetle)

Chrysomelidae: Chrysomelinae

Easily recognised, amongst the other large local Paropsis-group species, by its uniformly opaque pale pinkish-grey colour and evenly punctate elytra.

(Paropsis porosa is similarly large and pale, but is yellowish, has white markings on the pronotum, a white scutellum bordered in black, and has the sides of the pronotum notched.)
