This ‘species’ accommodates those Ganodermas which have (1) a shiny, lacquered upper surface and (2) a stem (which may be attached laterally or to the upper surface).
Species recorded from Australia are Ganoderma orbiforme, Ganoderma weberianum (both relatively small, caps measuring up to 10 centimetres in the longest dimension) and Ganoderma steyaertanum (cap up to 50 centimetres).
