Cortinarius kioloensis

Cap:- Dark violet convex becomes flattish with maturity. Cap surface is dry and covered with fine hairs which run perpendicular to the surface becoming lighter toward the cap margin which is entire.

Flesh:- dark purple too black.

Gills:-  Dark blue, thick, sinuate.

Stem:- 14cm long and 1cm thick at the bulbous base; violet in colour.

Spore:- Spore print violet but not examined

Habitat:- remnant warm sub tropical rain forest

Substrate:- soil

Season:- Winter.
