Hibbertia stricta subsp. furculata

This subspecies differs from subsp. stricta in having longer fascicled hairs (c. 0.25mm) along the central upper leaf surface, the hairs having 1-3 arms (for subsp stricta, hairs are 0.1mm long and with 3-5 arms) and the central vein on the leaf underside does not touch the revolute leaf margins, with a distinct gap showing the hairy leaf undersurface (touching in subsp stricta).

It grows in gravelly loam or clay soil in heath and open woodland from the Sydney area to Nowra (collections from North Nowra in 1950 and west of Nowra on Bamerang Rd, 1960).
