Adoxia benallae (Leaf beetle)


Chrysomelidae: Galerucinae: Galerucini: Luperina

A small diurnal beetle, only a few millimetres in length, associated with pinnate wattles (Acacia).

Elytra are dark green or blue-green, highly polished but with fine, dense punctures; prothorax orange; head black, often with orange areas; legs and antennae black.

Female more robust, with the elytra widening posteriorly. Male slimmer, with elytra almost parallel-sided, and legs longer.
